 Ornamental Products is comprised of Ornamental Products in High Point, NC. Ornamental Products – along with Ornamental Mouldings – is owned by Tenon Limited.
William Riedlinger founded the original company, The Canadian Amplifier Company, in 1926 in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The Canadian Amplifier Company produced horns for radios and gramophones.
A second company, Ornamental Mouldings and Carving Company Limited, was started in the mid 1930’s producing embossed and carved wood mouldings and ornaments primarily for the Canadian furniture trade.
Over time, the Waterloo plant evolved into Ornamental Mouldings, a manufacturer of decorative wood mouldings and accessories for the building trade. Today Ornamental Mouldings has manufacturing facilities located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and Archdale, NC. In order to better service the furniture and cabinet industries, American Ornamental Inc. was established as a stand-alone manufacturing facility in High Point, NC in 1969. This company later evolved into Ornamental Products. Today we sell a comprehensive range of cabinetry and furniture components worldwide. In 2006, Ornamental was purchased by Tenon Limited.
